Every week brings more and more changes, and we are excited to tell you we’re sharing the process from the final weeks of our SolarCity project.
The Project: Once again, for those of you who are new to this blog, we are currently working on a project for SolarCity in Nebraska. This is a large scale solar project that aims to supply supplemental energy to the city of South Sioux. Please continue to post any thoughts and questions that you may have in the comments section.
What’s Happening Now: All of the solar panels have been installed and the wiring has been completed. The system has been tested and have finalized most of our work. While we may have an item or two we need to check off of the punch list, the lion’s share of our work has come to a close.
We want to make sure we emphasize how pleased we have been with our crew that has put in long hours and worked through the cold and the snow to get this project completed on schedule. We would also like to thank SolarCity for the opportunity to work with them on this project. It has provided us with some great experience in a relatively new marketplace.
What to Expect: As the solar project comes to a close, we will begin to focus our resources on some of our other projects. We have already started some of the preliminary work on the new fire station going up in Homer, NE, and we expect to see a lot more action there as we head into the New Year. We have also been working on the new Tanner’s Bar and Grill that is going in on Hamilton Blvd and expect to wrap that project up shortly after the first of the year. This will offer a new, much needed dining option on the North side of Sioux City.
As so many of us in this area know all too well, the cold and snow tends to slow everything down, construction included. However, we have yet to see that decline in our workload and we have high expectations for the year to come.
We are excited to be sharing this news with you and can’t wait to show you more future jobs!
