Welcome back! There has been a lot going on over the last week, and we would like to share some of our progress:
The Project: I know many of you already know, but for those of you who are new to this blog, we are currently working on a project with SolarCity in Nebraska. This is a large scale solar project that aims to supply clean solar energy to the city of South Sioux. Work on this project is expected to be completed at the end of December. Please continue to post any thoughts and questions that you may have in the comments section.
What’s Happening Now: The wintery weather continues to move into the area, but we have continued to push through it and make quite a bit of progress over the last week. SolarCity has continued the installation of the solar panels and we have continued to install the PV wires. It’s a process that has been going on for a week or two now and will continue through the final days of the project. It has really been amazing to see the visual changes to the site that every passing day brings.
What to Expect: As the panels and PV wiring continue to go up, we will also begin the process of wiring all of the tracker motors and the control cabinets. We will also be working diligently to finish up the installation and wiring of the inverters and electrical panels. As the cold sets in, we know there can be weather related delays; however, we will not let a little bit of rain and snow slow us down. We have a hard-working and very persistent crew that will ensure we are able to keep this project on schedule.
Keep checking back here for more pictures, announcements and information. We are excited to be sharing this news with you and can’t wait to show you the construction process as it continues. To see more about this project, click here.
